Washington, D.C. has many free and public attractions. Plan ahead to make the most of your visit! My office is happy to assist constituents in booking tours for a few federal sites in and around Washington, D.C. Tours Booked by Our Office

  • Federal sites we can assist in booking tours include the White House, U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, FBI Headquarters, U.S. Treasury, and U.S. State Department.

  • Tickets are free and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • If we cannot secure a congressional tour for you, many sites offer public tours directly. See the House Visitor’s Guide for more details.

  • Admittance is determined by the individual site or agency, not by our office.

  • Unless otherwise noted, tours are generally available Monday–Friday.

Know Before You Go: 

The White House

  • Please note: All White House tours have been cancelled until further notice due to ongoing renovations. 

  • Request at least 3 weeks in advance.

  • REAL ID or passport required starting May 7, 2025.

  • Hours: Tues–Thurs 7:30 AM–11:30 AM; Fri–Sat 7:30 AM–1:30 PM.

  • Extremely limited — request early!

FBI Headquarters

To request, you will have to provide:

  • First, Middle, and Last Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Country of Birth

  • Citizenship

  • Social Security Number (ages 16+) Prefer not to submit SSN online? Call (202) 225-2464.
