It is truly an honor to represent you and your family in the U.S. House of Representatives – a body that once counted among its members such esteemed statesmen as John Quincy Adams and Abraham Lincoln.
As the 118th Congress deliberates the important issues facing our nation, my number one priority will always be serving the people of New York’s 17th District and putting forth real solutions for Hudson Valley families.
With record inflation, high taxes, skyrocketing energy costs, surging crime, and a broken immigration system, now more than ever, we need to work together to address the challenges we are facing. It’s why the very first bills that I introduced were bipartisan legislation to lift the cap on SALT and to reverse congestion pricing in New York.
In addition, we face new challenges on the global stage posed by adversaries like China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran to our economy, our sovereignty, and our interests around the world. I’m working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to confront these threats head-on and hold bad actors accountable.
As your voice in Washington, I’m proud to serve on the House Financial Services Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Throughout our history, New Yorkers have played a pivotal role on both of these committees and I’m honored by the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of former members Ben Gilman, Pete King, Sue Kelly, and Eliot Engel.
