Washington, D.C. – 3/3/26… Yesterday, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17), who serves on the House Financial Services Committee, joined Kelly Loeffler, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in touring Celtic Sheet Metal, a manufacturing and mechanical contracting company in Orangeburg, N.Y., and Caribbean Food Delights in Tappan, N.Y.

Lawler and SBA Administrator Loeffler met with local business owners and workers to discuss how fair trade, tax cuts, and deregulation in the Working Families Tax Cuts Bill will expand opportunities for small businesses in communities like the Hudson Valley. 

“Small businesses like manufacturing companies and restaurants are exactly the kind of companies that will benefit from the Working Families Tax Cuts Bill. By advancing fair trade, cutting taxes, and rolling back burdensome regulations, the Administration is providing manufacturers with the support they need to hire, expand, and compete,” said Congressman Lawler.

The visit underscored the Administration’s focus on strengthening domestic manufacturing, reducing regulatory burdens, and ensuring small businesses have the tools they need to compete in today’s economy.

Congressman Lawler is one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and represents New York's 17th Congressional District, which is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties. He was rated the most effective freshman lawmaker in the 118th Congress, 8th overall, surpassing dozens of committee chairs.
