Pearl River, N.Y. – 8/5/25… Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) confirmed that Yeonsoo Go, a recent graduate of Scarsdale High School detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has been successfully released and reunited with her family. "I'm proud to confirm that Yeonsoo Go has been released to her family and is now home. My office worked closely with federal officials to assist in securing her release. Yeonsoo’s case is yet another example of why we must fix our broken immigration system and make it easier for folks to come here and stay, the right way,” said Congressman Lawler. Congressman Lawler is one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and represents New York's 17th Congressional District, which is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties. He was rated the most effective freshman lawmaker in the 118th Congress, 8th overall, surpassing dozens of committee chairs. ### |
