CONGRESSMAN LAWLER CALLS ON BIDEN ADMINISTRATION TO ENGAGE IN SUBSTANTIVE, BIPARTISAN BUDGET NEGOTIATIONS

House Financial Services Committee Member and Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) released the following statement after the Federal Reserve raised rates for the ninth-straight time.

"First, President Biden's wasteful spending and reckless economic policies saddled Americans with record inflation that drove up the cost of everything, and now it's resulted in a growing banking crisis," said Congressman Lawler.

"After the Fed's ninth consecutive rate hike, I urge President Biden to stop playing politics and engage with the House Majority on a substantive, bipartisan budget negotiation that addresses long-term spending," concluded Congressman Lawler. "Failure to do so will prove disastrous for our country's long-term economic health."
