Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (R-NY-17) and Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-FL-23) issued the following statement on their visit to the Nova Music Festival Exhibition. The exhibit recreates the grounds of the Nova festival, where Hamas terrorists killed over 360 attendees and took 44 people hostage on October 7th:

“Today, we paid our respects to the 364 innocent people killed and 44 kidnapped at the Nova festival on October 7th. We encourage our colleagues on both sides of the aisle to visit this exhibit and see firsthand the brutal and evil nature of Hamas’ attack on Israel. The festival attendees were not participating in anything political – they were enjoying life in the same way we all have a right to do. This exhibit is to honor and remember all the victims who were affected during that horrific day.”

New York's 17th Congressional District is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
