New Yorkers' Declining Confidence in our State Outlook
The results of a recent Marist poll do not bode well for New Yorker confidence in our State. Of the New Yorkers surveyed, half think our economy is getting worse, 81% say the cost of living is either not very affordable or not affordable at all, and over a third say they plan on moving away from New York in the next five years. New York leads the nation in outmigration and it has nothing to do with the weather. The affordability crisis is driving lifelong New Yorkers away from our State and fueling a vicious downward spiral. Do you share their concerns about the cost of living in New York?
