Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) announced that his office has resolved more than 5,000 constituent cases brought to them by residents of New York's 17th District and their families. These cases have included helping veterans receive long-sought benefits they were due, expediting passports for hundreds of families in NY-17, helping those who came to the U.S. for a brighter future – including spouses and family members of U.S. citizens – acquire green cards or renew visas, advocating with the IRS to send long-awaited tax refunds, securing long-awaited Social Security or Medicare benefits, and bringing constituents home safely from Israel, Haiti, and countries across the globe.

"I'm proud to announce that my office has resolved more than 5,000 constituent cases," said Congressman Lawler. "This wouldn't be possible without our dedicated caseworkers who work around the clock to assist every constituent who reaches out. From day one, they have worked arduously to resolve the many constituent casework needs brought to our attention."

Congressman Lawler is one of the most bipartisan members of the 118th Congress and represents New York's 17th Congressional District, which is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
