Congressman Lawler Releases a Statement Reacting to Unanimous SCOTUS Decision on Ballot Access for Former President Trump

Today, Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) released the following statement after the Supreme Court’s unanimous 9-0 decision to restore former President Trump to the ballot in Colorado.

“Today’s unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court decision upholds the idea that in America, people should decide elections, not the courts,” said Congressman Lawler. “Voters will make their voices heard this November one way or the other, but it is their decision, not the decision of partisan state judges, that should decide the next President of the United States.”

New York's 17th Congressional District is just north of New York City and contains all or parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
